about us

Explore all there is to know about our grapes, our team, and the Amos Rome Vineyards logo.

Amos Rome Vineyards makes wine from grapes grown exclusively in the Lake Chelan AVA,
in our estate vineyards.

Primary Vineyard

Growing Merlot, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Franc, Malbec, Chardonnay, and Cabernet Sauvignon, Amos Rome Vineyards consists of three blocks: the six-acre Block ‘98, the seven-acre Block ‘14, and the almost one-acre Block ‘20. This property is also where you’ve find the Amos Rome Vineyards Production Winery and Tasting Room.

High Blossom

Amos Rome Vineyards High Blossom is just three miles from the tasting room and primary vineyard site. Sitting at just under 2000 feet of elevation, it has quite a different growing profile than the primary site. It consists of Riesling (planted in 2003), Grüner Veltliner (planted in 2019), and a block of Tempranillo & Albariño (planted in 2021).

Travis & Briana Clark

Travis Clark, Winemaker
Winemaker Travis Clark first fell in love with wine in the village of Urbnisi, Georgia where he was living abroad and teaching English. Wine was made by each family and was a big part of daily life. Upon returning to the US, wine slowly grew from a hobby into a profession. Travis attended the Northwest Wine Academy, interned at JM Cellars in Woodinville for the 2016 harvest, and became head winemaker at Amos Rome Vineyards in 2017. He's recently completed the WSU Viticulture Certificate program. When he's not making wine, he’s spending time with his three kids and enjoying all that Lake Chelan has to offer. He and the family can be found fishing, swimming, or visiting other wineries throughout the valley.

Briana Clark, Sales & Marketing
Briana wasn't a big fan of wine until she studied abroad in Argentina, where a glass of Malbec quickly became her drink of choice. She feels lucky to now have a backyard full of Malbec vines! She manages the tasting room, the wine club, and the calendar - and also helps out in the winery wherever Travis needs her; as a taster, a marketer, a grape sorter, a logistics coordinator, and a salesperson. She loves owning a business with her husband and her parents, Tom & Teddi Pettigrew. She works full-time in radar sales for Echodyne. When not working, she loves to spend time both with her kids and in the winery, and enjoys ending the day with a glass of wine in hand.

Tom & Teddi Pettigrew

In 1988, Tom & Teddi Pettigrew solidified their love of the Lake Chelan area by purchasing their first vacation property at Wapato Point.

When Tom had the opportunity to retire from the technology industry in 2011, he and Teddi were ready to put into place plans that had been evolving over the prior twenty-plus years. They always knew Lake Chelan was their retirement destination, but they wanted to make sure they did something with commitment to and involvement in the community.  Combining their love of wines with active investment in the Lake Chelan AVA was the perfect solution. And Amos Rome Vineyards was born.

Tom earned a certificate in Viticulture from Washington State University in 2015. He was a board member of the Lake Chelan Wine Valley from 2014-2019, and enjoyed helping to plan the annual events that increase the wine tourism in beautiful Lake Chelan. He also owns Chelan Vineyard Management, which provides vineyard planning, consulting and management services throughout the Lake Chelan Wine Valley. When Tom & Teddi aren’t away traveling, you can find them filling in at the tasting room and helping out with just about everything behind the scenes.

Our Logo

The main symbol of the Amos Rome brand is a glyph designed to evoke the heritage of the Native Americans who lived on this land. And if you look carefully at the logo, you'll see it spells AMOS ROME.
